Founded by San Diego-born and Seattle-raised Rin Gamache, a licensed Skincare Hacker (Esthetician), who constantly struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation from her early teens through adulthood. Rin developed a strong passion about the topics of skin and eating healthy, so any opportunity she had to share with others, she was more than willing.
She chose to concentrate on the male demographic, and create a clinic and products specifically for men because the beauty industry is often associated with femininity since everything is geared towards women. Rin believes men don’t have the skincare conversation because of the lack of male representation in the category; therefore, the topic among men is a bit taboo. Rin’s desire is to help change the industry standards, and get men comfortable talking about skin care and health. Men want nice skin too!
Our Mission
At Bare & Beards we understand the unspoken desire men have to achieve flawless, fresh skin, and that is why we are committed to quality, value and customer care. Our products contain no harmful chemicals or preservatives, no synthetic fillers, parabens and petroleum by-products commonly found in commercial skin care products. We only use clean ingredients, researching and hand selecting nothing but the purest herbs and botanicals nature has to offer. Bare & Beards men’s skincare targets common skin care problems men suffer from such as razor bumps, ingrown hair, acne, uneven skin tone and more, naturally.
With the lack of presence of people of color in product ads, commercials, etc., it is hard to relate to a brand that appears to not only have the man with darker shades of melanin in mind, but men of various cultural backgrounds. Bare & Beards’ aim is to pioneer change within the the skincare industry by being the go-to brand that specifically men of color can relate to, and know was created with their genetic make up in mind.
